CAN N’GOLO KANTE WIN THE BALLON D’OR ?
The Chelsea midfielder and France international have been extremely magnificent in the quest for champions league glory this season for the blues, but can he win the most prestigious personal award in world football
Sir Alex Ferguson once said; The earth is covered 75% by water and the rest is covered by N'golo Kante. The argument to give Kanye the ballon d'or in my opinion is a far fetched idea in my lane.
Ngolo Kanté has been incredible and instrumental in Chelsea's #UCL triumph this season. He's won 5 Man of the Match Awards. He's the mid field general. The best CDM in the Premier League. He deserves to win the Ballon d'Or Award for 2021. Even Roman Abramovich acknowledged his contributions to the team.
Wining 5 MOTM awards from the knockout stage is not an easy feat, to be more than effective in your team without scoring goals, only Cannavaro did it for Italy, but right now, Kante has done more than what won Cannavaro the ballon d'or.
N'Golo Kante is a beast no doubt, but Robert Lewandowski is a formidable opponent in his quest for that glory, in my own opinion, he need to do more than win the champions league to win the ballon d'or, if France can win the euros with a strong performance from him, then he can be in contention for the price.
But right now, I don't think he can with a champions league win.
