It's in the news that Chelsea are interested in Romelu Lukaku and Erling Haaland as the Roman army look to further strengthen the squad  following their Champions League triumph of city on Saturday nights.

As reported by Sky Sports, the imminent departure of Olivier Giroud and possibly Tammy Abraham will compel the club to be in the market for a world class striker. The Blues are intent on replacing them with former striker Lukaku among the options being considered.

Lukaku, who scored 30 goals in 44 games this season across all competitions, is likely to leave Inter Milan this summer, with the Italian side facing financially difficulties. Lukaku, 28, who was at Chelsea between 2011 and 2014, would cost around £100million.

Haaland, meanwhile, is one of the most highly sought after players in world football, with the Borussia Dortmund star boasting a superb record of 57 goals in 59 appearances for the German side.

The 20-year-old has three years remaining on his contract at Dortmund, although he does have a release clause of £66m which comes into effect in the summer of 2022.
