Chelsea Midfielder N’Golo Kante wins Professional Footballers Association (PFA) player of the year award.

The 26 year old saw off the likes of Harry Kane and Lukaku to win the prestigious award.
Kante has been on an impressive form since his move from former premier league leaders Leicester City to Chelsea. He is heading to win two successive premier league titles with Chelsea having won the last one with his former team Leicester city for whom he was the driving force in the midfield last year.

He has since replicated this form in Chelsea and has established himself as the driving force in the Chelsea midfield making crucial tackles and adding pace and energy to the blues midfield.

In his reaction to winning the title, Kante said “ To be chosen by the players to be player of the year means a lot to me, it means the world to be chosen and it’s been two beautiful seasons one with Leicester and we are in good form with Chelsea.

To be player of the year, its a great honour”. The Frenchman is on course to be the first player to win two successive Premier Leagues with two different clubs.
