Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has warned Nigerians against electing people who are above 70 years of age as president in 2023. He said that instead of electing people who are old enough to be grandpa, Nigerians should elect a young person as president in 2023.

The problem with Nigerian leaders (who we know are insensitive and selfish) is that they are the people who lobbied electoral power but lack electoral reasoning.

They leverage on the stupidity of the masses to achieve thier aim. Take Tinubu for example, whether he's 59 or 69 or 79 or 89 years old, he looks too frail to lead a nation with numerous challenges.

This same man would never employ a frail looking applicant or appoint a frail looking employee to head his AlphaBeta company. That goes to Atiku as well. Just that Atiku appears healthier than Tinubu. Once again, Nigeria's problem is the leaders but not the people.

The power now lies with party members who will vote at the primaries. Since Nigerians can only vote those presented by the parties. The party delegates must be on the quest of presenting the best candidates for the job.

Makinde might be right by his ascertions, but is his party willing to feed him as the candidates for 2023 general election
