Some people believes the demolition in festac phase II is ethnically motivated
Some homeowners in Festac Phase 2 woke up to their houses being demolished on Sunday morning, 28th November 2021 because they don't have government approval.
This comes a day after an article announced that the Federal Housing Authority will soon begin mass demolition of buildings without approval in Festac Town.
This action by the Lagos state government have generated a lot of mixed reactions as some people have tagged it to be ethnically motivated, here are some reactions to that effect:
Festac phase 2 abulado estate under Amuwo odofin local government under demolition by the FHA. They started since 5 am.. See beautiful igbo people's houses.. FHA said the land is not approved. I am watching people's houses being destroyed and it's painful.
Ipob terrorists are in the habits of building houses in our Cities without due process and when the house is demolished you see the useless crying. When we tell them to go to their Yeast terrorists infested biafla they will not agree
This matter no concern me. Don't buy gazetted land for whatever reason... E no de end well...Where are the Lagos is no man's land crews? Come and wail here again
Wow. It is well. (Victims) Their next plan should be how to move on, they shouldn't waste more energy on lamentations, please. The deed is done. Life goes on still. May God provide for them to sustain and continue with life.....Others should do their findings well before acquiring any property.
All these and many more are the reactions of the people concerning the demolition. Is it true that the action is ethnically motivated? Time will tell.
