Some homeowners in Festac Phase 2 woke up to their houses being demolished on Sunday morning, 28th November 2021 because they don't have government approval.

This comes a day after an article announced that the Federal Housing Authority will soon begin mass demolition of buildings without approval in Festac Town.

This action by the Lagos state government have generated a lot of mixed reactions as some people have tagged it to be ethnically motivated, here are some reactions to that effect:

Wicked people. Resources that took years to gather just wasted in a twinkle of an eye. They should go to mushin and sanitize the area. Wow. It is well. (Victims) Their next plan should be how to move on, they shouldn't waste more energy on lamentations, please. The deed is done. Life goes on still. May God provide for them to sustain and continue with life.....Others should do their findings well before acquiring any property.
