HOW EMPLOYEE ARE NAVIGATING TO THE FUTURE OF WORK FROM HOME CULTURE
The way work has been done in the last one year, post pandemic work ethic and where it will take place is still an issue
Companies need workers, but many employees aren't ready to go back to the way things used to be. With an end to the pandemic in sight, American companies face a new challenge: getting workers back to work.
The primary conflict and the primary opportunity is where work will take place. 64% of workers would pick permanent work from home over a $30,000 raise, according to a survey of employees at 45 of the largest companies in the U.S.
Some businesses are experimenting with taking human labor out of the retail equation. A truck driver traveling on a highway ate at a server-less Brooklyn Dumpling Shop this week, where patrons punch in their preferences, and then it appears in a cubby.
The new ways of living, working and playing that this era ushers in will put millions of jobs and trillions of dollars in play and change the way we live our lives.
