IS AMACHIE’S TURBANING AN INDICATION OF A BUHARI SUCCESSOR

The Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi has been turbaned traditional titles of Dan Amanar Daura over the weekend. 

Daura, the hometown of President Muhammadu Buhari in Katsina was agog when the Minister of Transportation, Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechie received a traditional title on Saturday.

The traditional title was conferred on him by the Emir, Dr Umar Faruk Umar, in recognition of his immense contributions to the development of the emirate, Katsina and the nation in general.

Daura Emirate does not give title anyhow but to people who deserve its tittle like who we are recognising today.”

This development gives an inclination to the fact that the Nigerian president might just have given his inclination of whom he preferred candidate for the 2023 election.

President Buhari has earlier said that he would rather not name his preferred candidate because he might face a lot of destructive oppositions which may get jeorpadise his chance of winning in the end.

Bur the speculation of a Buhari successor emerged before and after the turbaning and still making waves in the political alleys of the nation. Some said it's just a conincidence that the minister receives a title from the president home town.

Should a speculation of such be seen as a definite development in the coming months, only time will tell.
