Mason Mount and Ben Chilwell are forced to self-isolate after ‘close contact’ with Billy Gilmour after the full-time whistle. Yet not a single Scotland player is self-isolating ahead of their game.
The reason been that they’ve been in close contact since he had it and have tested negative, which means they didn’t catch it. These two still could and can be passing it on before they test positive. It sounds daft, but it makes sense.
All the Scottish players were in contact prior to the game. I don’t know how long, but guessing its long enough that, if they were gonna get it, they would have. But Chilwel and Mount were deemed close enough to catch it, but not enough time has passed to know yet.
It's difficult to believe that as jubilant as Scotland were after Friday and with Billy getting MOM, no Scottish players hugged him? I mean his manager gave him a pretty big hug when he left the field. Perhaps he's a Billy no mates.
