The largest Telecommunications in Africa MTN have boycott all Nigerian banks platform with the claim that, the banks didn't reimbursed the telecom company despite been paid charges and commission for their services by their customers. Although the amount owed by the banks isn't clear,. But it's a rip off after a customer recharged from his bank, the bank deduct the amount, commission and SMS charges but failed to remit the telecoms not it's commission but even the main amount of the voucher.

This is how the Nigerian banks have been ripping off their customers since time immemorial with fake and unreal charges. Although customers have always been complaining about the poor form of service but huge service commission, the complain has always fell on deaf ears, but now that it involves a giant telecom company, everyone get to know about it.

The implication of this fallout is that MTN is now to use Flutterwave, Opay, Kuda and other payment channels for customers online services. Customers also will soon start migrating to more efficient payment solutions platforms because presently, fintech is rising and Nigerian bank is killing itself by deteriorating customers confidence in their products and services

In an era of fintech and online payment solutions, Nigerian banks would've done better for itself by delivering an unrivaled and unprecedented  services to its customers so as to gain their trust and patronage by the day, but as their greedy vision has beclouded the danger of losing clients in a rivaled world of payment solutions, now this will cause them to face a sharp decline in such services provided for telecom business in the country.
