Day one of the 2021 NFL Draft lived up to its billing as the first round was full of surprises, reunions and trades. Highlights included Trevor Lawrence going No. 1 to the Jaguars, the Bears trading up to No. 11 to get Justin Fields and Mac Jones falling to Bill Belichick and the Patriots at No. 15. Here are the must-see highlights and moments from Round 1. Top 10 picks: 1. Jaguars: QB Trevor Lawrence 2. Jets: QB Zach Wilson 3. 49ers: QB Trey Lance 4. Falcons: TE Kyle Pitts 5. Bengals: WR Ja'Marr Chase 6. Dolphins: WR Jaylen Waddle 7. Lions: OT Penei Sewell 8. Panthers: CB Jaycee Horn 9. Broncos: CB Patrick Surtain II 10. Eagles: WR Devonta Smith

This year marks the 3rd time in the Common Draft Era (since 1967) that QBs were drafted 1-2-3. 1971 NFL Draft:, 1. Jim Plunkett (Patriots), 2., Archie Manning (Saints), 3. Dan Pastorini (Oilers), 1999 NFL Draft:, 1. Tim Couch (Browns), 2. Donovan McNabb (Eagles), 3. Akili Smith (Bengals). Two most surprising picks last night were the #Saints at 28 with Payton Turner & #Raiders at 17 with Alex Leatherwood. A survey of teams showed:. Turner was picked a bit early, but teams really liked the player. — Most had Leatherwood in 2, but coaches liked him more evaluators.

The #Bears now have Justin Fields as their future starter with Andy Dalton as QB1 until Fields is ready. What about Nick Foles? Contractually, it’ll be extremely difficult to move him. He has $4M guaranteed this year and $5M guaranteed next year. Foles will get his $$ regardless. I believe my top 4 players remaining are day one starters next season- ND LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah TCU S Trevon Moehrig UNC RB Javonte Williams Ole Miss WR Elijah Moore Great players with excellent football makeup too. Safe studs.

From NFL Draft Kickoff: The #Packers are dug in and so is QB Aaron Rodgers. Remember, Rodgers' agent Dave Dunn helped Carson Palmer shoot his way out of Cincy... even if it took a while. Perhaps a similar game plan, stay tuned for the results.

Trey Lance threw 318 passes in college. He needs reps. He played in (3) 1 possession games in college. In those 3 games he threw for 135, 75 & 62 yards in respectively. Get the young man on the field as fast as possible.
