OBASANJO REFUTE OONI’S CLAIM ON SUPPORTING TINUBU FOR 2023 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION
The former president have publicly denied OONI’S claim on supporting Tinubu for 2023
Former president Olusegun Obassnjo have denied speaking with Ooni on supporting Bola Tinubu for 2023 election.
The Ooni said earlier during his sixth year on the throne celebration that he had discussed with obasanjo to ensure Yoruba speaks with one voice and throw thier support behind Bola Tinubu.
The former president further advised the Ooni; Anyone of them who says that he is interested in politics, just pray for him and let them go. Anyone who approaches you and says that he wants to be president or governor, just pray for such a person and let him go.
“All the sons and daughters of Yorubaland, no matter where they are or their standpoint, will come to meet you. This is expected because you are the father of all.
Don’t direct Yoruba people to support any aspirant, as we don’t all go in the same direction, which is part of our strength in Yorubaland,” he said.
The former President made the appeal at an event held at the palace of the Ooni on Saturday, December 11.
