@SERAPNIGERIA have annouced a lawsuit against president Buhari for an overdraft withdrawal of funds carried out on a CBN account. The statement says: We've sued President Buhari over $25bn overdrafts taken from the CBN, asking the court to compel him to disclose details of overdrafts and repayments since 2015.

The Secrecy around CBN overdrafts is antithetical to the public interest, the common good and oath of office. In the suit no FHC/ABJ/CS/559/2021 filed last week at the Federal High Court, Abuja, SERAP is also seeking: “an order to compel the president to explain and clarify whether the $25bn (N9.7trn) overdraft from the CBN is within the 5% limit of the actual revenue of FG for 2020.”

Joined in the suit as respondents are the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, SAN; the Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed; and the Governor of CBN, Godwin Emefiele.

But Nigerians have claimed nothing will come out of it, insisting previous suits have not yielded any results. the exact statement says Nothing come out. They own the court. One thing we've fail to understand in this part of the world is that the JUDICIARY is the major problem of this country.

But continuous lawsuits against the present government shows that despite the attempt to silence all quarters against the government, there are still people who will voice out their mindset whatever
