SWAT IS THE NEW SARS IF!
The federal government yesterday announced the replacement for the disbanded SARS is SWAT, but protesters are concern it will end like SARS if there’s no police reform
The federal government came up with the brute announcement of replacing SARS with SWAT, but the problem is isn't this the same way SARS was introduced without diligent training and proper brainstorming on exactly what their assignments are. The practices of coming up with a new police squad without proper training and allocation of responsibility will never work in Nigeria.
The new squad without a proper reform of the force is also a joke, the lives uniform officers are living must be improved else there's no way forward. A police officer with a peanut for take home, which couldn't earn his kids a good education and considerable living standard will report to crime when given a gun.

The police officer to make the SWAT team are not newly recruited into the force, as a matter of fact, they will be handpicked from the same set of police officers who had be a torn in the flesh of the people since he joined, so what's the difference, they will eventually continually torment the people and use the gun given to them to fend for themselves, these are the point needed be put into considerations.
Lastly, the Nigerian government needs to check itself and strive to do the needful, most of issues the country is facing are brought about by the insensitivity of the government, needless to say that the government is whole responsible for the ills in the society, although there woes are multiplied by individuals who couldn't find a reason to do better, the size of finances that went into governance is very high and its effects already belabored the country coupled with their corrupt practices are issues needed to be tackle to air thing better for the future of the country.
