The activities of the Nigerian police on a busy road laden with armed robbers is questioned in this write up
Troops of the Nigerian Army has neutralized armed robbers during a gun battle earlier today along Benin-Auchi-Ekpoma highway in Edo State. Weapons were also recovered too. Commuters commend the troops their swift response to distress call.
The begging question remains where is the Nigerian police if the army will be facing armed robbers on a road where police officers mount road blocks that's more than twenty in a seventy kilometer distance.
The Nigerian Army is overstretched, This is supposed to be the work of the police and is it safe to say of what use is the Nigerian police? because they are always unavailable when it comes to incident like these.
There are many police checkpoints on that road, but they won't be found in this kind of situation.
They are only good with stop and search, check point is more 20 on that highway. Yet the Nigerian army has to come to face armed robbers on the same road.
