THE RISING LEGACIES OF UNAI EMERY FROM HIS PLAYING DAYS TO HIS COACHING CAREER

Unai Emery began his coaching career at Lorca Deportiva in 2004 after an injury ended his playing days. In his first season in charge, he got them promoted to La Liga for the first time in their history. He moved back down to Almeria and again, got them promoted for the first time in their history in his first year.

He led Valencia C.F to consistent top three finishes before making his mark at Sevilla FC. He became the first man to ever win three consecutive Europa League titles.

This earned him a move to PSG where he won seven trophies, completing a domestic quadruple in his second season. When he took over from Arsene Wenger at Arsenal, many people were questioning his credentials. After missing out on the top four, losing a Europa League final and a poor start to his second season, he was sacked.

At Villarreal CF, he beat Arsenal to reach the club's first European final & then defeated Manchester United in the final, to win their first ever European silverware.
