Historic moments unfolded in Ibadan as Rashidi Ladoja, former Oyo State governor, was crowned the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland at Mapo Hall. The coronation drew President Bola Tinubu, governors, and top traditional rulers, marking a grand celebration of culture and politics.
It was a historic day in Ibadan on Friday as Rashidi Ladoja, the former governor of Oyo State, was officially installed as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.
The colorful coronation ceremony, held at Mapo Hall, drew a remarkable gathering of political leaders, traditional rulers, and eminent personalities across Nigeria.

Makinde Presents Staff of Office
Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State presented the staff of office to the new monarch, officially ushering him into the revered throne. Ladoja, who clocked 81 years old just a day before the coronation, succeeds Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, who passed away in June.
Tinubu, Governors, and Dignitaries Present
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu flew in from Abuja aboard the presidential jet to witness the historic moment. Also in attendance were several state governors, including:

- Lucky Aiyedatiwa (Ondo State)
- Ademola Adeleke (Osun State)
- Biodun Oyebanji (Ekiti State)
