TINUBU RETRACE HIS STEPS WITH THE OONI OF IFE

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu was under fire some month back by the way he responded and greeted the Ooni of Ife at a function in Lagos. He was heavily criticized for not respecting the Ooni  and not giving to him the respect the office of the Ooni deserves even as a thoroughly breed Yoruba man. He was seen in a video at the function not even standing up when the Ooni approach to greet him.

The tongue lashing and heavy criticism that follows the incidence and abuse rained on him by the Nigerian populace must have done a thing or two on his common sense as it's obvious he has retrace his steps with his Yoruba ancestors which makes him do the needful which the Nigerian nation is asking of him. He had corrected himself at a function of a book laugh of the presidents wife in Abuja.

Tinubu went to the Ooni and greeted him properly like the Yoruba man he is, this time with more respect than he had ever offered him in the past. It was seen that he has now acknowledged the office of the Ooni and the power it holds thereby according him the respect deserving of a Yoruba man. It's a good thing when a whole society come together to condemn an act that's not good enough. It's evident that Tinubu's condemnation of his disrespectful act to the Ooni in Lagos helped him to retrace his steps with him.
