Tottenham Hotspur are prepared to offer Brendan Rodgers a substantial salary increase in order to try and tempt him away from Leicester City this summer. This doesn't seem like an upgrade for Brendan at this moment, considering the league position of his team and that of Tottenham Hotspur. What manager in their right mind would want to work under Levy and let’s be honest on the case of Brendan Rodgers, it's a downgrade to Spurs at the moment and we know who that’s down to.

Presently, looking at the bigger picture, the debt tottenham is carrying, the number of managers Levy had seen off. With the current hierarchy, Spurs are in a very bad place right now. Getting a decent manager in, whoever that is, won’t paper over the cracks. Without disagreeing that the owners need to go, there’s always going to be massive debt when a billion pound stadium was built and all the talk of managers rejecting the job have been false.

The idea to get Brendan is slightly dramatic because it's difficult to pin down a reason why Brendan will take the job. Why would he leave? Why? They have better players, are in the champions league and he is getting supported by the owners where he is. So again why would he leave. I can’t see why he would. I wouldn’t want to work with levy. The lure is money and that’s it. Maybe Brendan would make that jump but he’d be working in the same toxic environment that MP and JM failed in, he’s in a happy place right now, don't think he will be joining Spurs, at least not this summer.
