Recently, UNICEF in partnership with the Kaduna State Ministry of Health convened a two-day consultative meeting with the Health Workers Association.

The main objective of the meeting was to address vaccine hesitancy and engage health workers as advocates for #COVID19 vaccination.

The meeting was attended by 154 participants consisting of members of the National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives, National Association of Community Health Practitioners of Nigeria, the Nigerian Medical Association; and technical experts from UNICEF, WHO, Media and Risk Communication and Community Engagement Pillar on the #COVID19 Response.

The leadership of the associations through a communique expressed their commitment to the successful implementation of #COVID19 vaccination; and promised to encourage members who are yet to be vaccinated to do so promptly.
