Fixing Nigerian economy doesn’t requires extra analysis and statistics
Statistics has it that Nigeria is the poverty capital of the world with over 90m unemployed. 90million in poverty is directly proportional to jobless because you can't be working and be below the poverty line.
What the country needs is to invest heavily on SMEs. But with which money do you want to put in the SMEs. The country's debt to income ratio is above 30%. Frankly, it's not the time to start getting fancies with words.
What Nigeria needs is a whole list of things that is doable but greed won't allow it be done. The most a paramount in the list is cutting the bulk cost of governance in Nigeria. The bulk of finances going to about five hundred legislature is too much.
The Nigerian government also needs to Incentivize foreign companies to invest here and create Job opportunities. But before that, solve insecurity problems. Scrap useless spending and unify different bureaucracies, etc. Pay more attention to Local government, the police also needs to be defederalize in the process.
