The Academic Staff Union of universities have postponed his meeting with the federal government schedule for today indefinitely. Sighting not having enough time to consult with his members around the country as the reason for the postponement of the meeting, it's not even sure anymore if Nigerian federal universities will resume for the next coming year.

But a source insist ASUU is obviously becoming a threat to the educational sector, news had it earlier that their opinion will be made known before the end of this week, now they are postponing the meeting in disguise as a reaction to what Ngige said. Although, the government promised to pay on or before 9th of December and ASUU promised to resume immediately they pay. They didn't pay and ASUU  didn't resume, so is a flat deal for the two parties

From another reliable source, knightpen was able to gather that ASUU started receiving salary yesterday, for those who are yet to be under the previous payment platform and it is expected they should call of today. FG has finally paid, ASUU simply used this to play FG so schools will resume next year. So if this is the plan of ASUU, it might not be a threat afterall. If the instance stated here are right, the fate of a Nigerian student whose future and academic career is been swept under the rug for almost a year is about to change. Also, if the government and the educational body has ever at a point put these young scholars future into considerations in their dealings, maybe we would've avoid this episode one way or the other.

So apart from the money ASUU is asking for and the discontinuation of the IPPIS payment platforms for his staff which the federal government have already to look into, what really do ASUU want, how can the body held accountable and responsible for the educational deteriorations of the country, is there a way the federal government and ASUU be made more proactive about educational improvement in Nigeria.

All these and many more are the questions ASUU and the federal government should be made to answer in the long run to ascertain that such occurrences will not be repeating itself more often.
