On Sunday, the Inspector General announced a ban on SARS and other tactical units. It.will be a life long dream to believe that is the end of the problem. However, from a public service reformer point of view, A very important tactic in reforms is to get an anti-reformer to publicly commit to reforms.

SARS menace have gone on for too long and it now look like it has come to stay, there activities have now degenerated into direct robbery attack. Their carriage, dressing, appearance betrayed their supposed professions. There appearance is so worse that they look like area boys with guns with SARS inscribed jacket all in the name of policing. Upon sighting them, one will often wonder if someone that appear as irresponsible as they are, can they ever protect another man, it looks fairly impossible though because of their appearances.

Can anyone believe this man is a police officer.

One of the commentator on the issue on social media infused that; "It is absurd and awkward the way they are dressed. I see these people as thugs or armed robbers than policemen. Undercover cops dress decently, they are educated and well trained. Everything about Nigeria is awkward,...a lifeless president and all sorts". Their look betrayed them? Thugs, thieves and armed robbers, if we don’t fight this battle to the end now, It will affect generations yet unborn.

The announced disbandment of isn't the first time such announcement is been made, it doesn't sound assuring either, because policing is more character based and the whole Nigerian police force is rotten. Nothing redeemable in themhuman & capital cost of all the deceptive & negligent strategy is missing. . They are just an armed criminal syndicate.

Should the menace continue even with all the clamoring this time around, then actions might be left to the general populace to take.
