The Nigerian government have an habit of ignoring critical brewering issues until it escalated into a major and generally disturbing problems to it starts acting on it, this has continually become a general practices on the part of Nigerian leaders to the point that an observer can actually pin it down as a routine practices irrespective of who is in power at any point in time in the country,

Taking you down memory lane, the civil war which Nigerian experience during the giwon era could have been averted if adequate steps are taken on time to forstall it, but this was not to be so as the then military leader continually dragged his feet until it go5 to a point where the country is dragged into a full blown war that cost millions of lives in the process.

Another instance is the boko haram menace when it first starts full operations in the lake chad region, the Nigerian leader in the person of Shehu Musa Y’ardua couldn’t find a means to address the issue on time thus failing to prepare a solid battle ground before his demise which sees Jonathan replacing him, continually so, President Goodluck Jonathan couldn’t react accordingly to this menace despite’s all advices and warnings from different quarters, or maybe he couldn’t see the menace this uprising sect poses to the society until it was a bit too late.

Also, when the chibok girls was abducted, workable remedies couldn’t be apply to bring the girls back until it was too late. Now another issue of the herdsmen which could have been averted and put an end to as a sectorial clashes is gradually becoming a national issue while major numbers of life is been lost on a regular basis. As it were, if adequate and proper care isn’t taken, this herdsmen issue could become another national embarrassment to the point that foreign musicians will be making a track of it.

The solution to this menace remains the government, whatever the case may be, it has to put his feet on the ground on which ever decision has to be made on the issue and ignore any protest by all sect on what they might be fighting for, all around the world, government have invested on agricultural produc3 and doing so in nigeria wouldn’t be a one off thing. It’s time the Nigerian government embark on a lasting solutions to stop these killings.
