ANXIETY RISES AS FAAN STALL ON DATES OF INTERNATIONAL OPERATIONS

The general populace in need of a definite dates for international opening and operations of the airways continually get agitated as the prolonged silence about the opening date became a long wait. Tons of Nigerians who are stranded abroad are now getting very agitated and clamoring for the airspace authority to come up with a definite dates to resume operations.

On a personal level, I have been in contacts with friends and relative who got stranded abroad because of the lockdown due to the outbreak of the corona virus, visiting foreign airports in an attempt to establish a definite date which they can be allowed to travel, but there expectations continually met with a disappointment as they are turned back home with no definite date to look up to.

Even behind the boarders of nigeria, agitations steadily growing on the silence on a definite dates of resumption, foreign students trapped in nigeria are the most affected in this regard and they have been clamoring for a means to get back to school life.

Although, it’s worthy to put into considerations the recent happenings in Indian after opening there airspace to resumes flight July 1. But by July 3&4 Indian has recorded a surge of about 22,000 cases within 24 hours, culminating into closing their air space with immediate effect. It will be a life saving idea if nigeria can borrow a reasoning leaf from thieve happening in India.

The corona virus continually affects our daily life and subsequently limits our potential and movement as human, our resolve in a time like this is very pivotal in wining the war against this deadly killer.
