The continual discoveries of COVID-19 cases in third world countries largely depends on funds made available to them
On monday, the Chairman of PSC and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr Boss Mustapha disclosed that states in Nigeria have been financed with COVID relief fund on a regular basis.
From his presentation titled, “National Response to the COVID-19 Pandemic in Nigeria-The Journey so Far” at the summit on COVID-19 in Abuja.he said while Lagos and Kano got N10 billion and N5 billion each, other states & FCT got N1bn each from the national response.
SGF disclosed that the PTF/PSC has to date submitted two major reports to the government, in December 2020 and March 2021, stating the response remains a work in progress because COVID-19 has not abated.
“Countries of the world including Nigeria, have experienced the third wave and currently a fourth wave is unfolding with the Omicron variant,” he said.
These is the reason why states especially Lagos will continually identify with any new variant of the Corona virus like the Omicron so that more money will be directed to their pocket
The Corona virus have been publicized a long time ago, especially in the third world countries. And the western world is also playing politics with science, these is why the Corona virus will be amongst us for a long time.
All these statement of identifying with the virus only means one thing for the greedy politicians, more money to siphon, they will rather prolong the COVID-19 episode and make sure the money keeps coming in at the detriment of the common man.
Recently so, there's an uproar when western countries ban some African counties on the basis of keeping the Omicron virus at bay, this is another politics that should've been avoided in the first place.
But we need to ask if covid-19 is still a pandemic or a political business adventures.?
