The Nigerian government last week Sunday nabbed Kanu and repatriated him to Nigeria. While the Nigerian government was silent on the country he was arrested, his family members claimed that the IPOB leader was nabbed in Kenya.

The Department of State Services, DSS, had on Friday granted Ejiofor permission to speak with Kanu which he did. Kanu had told Ejiofor that he was arrested and tortured for eight days in Kenya.

The Kenyan government has denied involvement in the re-arrest of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). Insisting that “It does not want to be dragged into Nigeria’s internal affairs.” The Kenyan High Commissioner to Nigeria, Amb. Wilfred Machage, stated this in Abuja on Friday.

But the Nigerian government have been completely mute on the place of arrest of the of the IPOB leader and the silence is ultimately deafening
