FACEBOOK ENACT ITS POLICY ON TRUMP FOR TWO YEARS
The social media giants ban former president of the United States Donald Trump for two years
In Response to Oversight Board, Trump Suspended for Two Years by Facebook and will only be reinstated if conditions perrmit. Facebook says former President Donald Trump ban will be in effect from Jan 7. FB will "look to experts to assess whether the risk to public safety has receded" after the 2 year ban. If there's still a "serious risk to public safety" ban will be extended.
Donald Trump used Facebook & other platforms to radicalize supporters to terror & insurrection. He attempted a violent overthrow of the US Constitution. The decision to consider allowing him back on Facebook is a decision to normalize that behavior.
He cannot be allowed to have any contact with any legitimate forum, venue, or enterprise, of any kind. Facebook should be providing evidence to federal investigators looking into terror charges in relation to the Jan 6 attack.
Trump called Facebook's ruling "an insult" to his supporters. "They shouldn't be allowed to get away with this censoring and silencing," The ban will keep Trump off Facebook through the 2022 midterm elections.
