Happy Republic Day #Ghana on the first of July 1960, Ghana became a republic under the 1960 Constitution and the (UK) Monarch and Governor-General were replaced by a Ghanaian executive President.
But unfortunately, it's not a public holiday in Ghana. It's a Republic Day that has been cleaned off the books by Political vendetta. It's sad that Ghana can't celebrate when she first became a Republic
