OONI IMPOSE CURFEW ON THE ANCIENT CITY OF IFE
The Ooni has imposed curfew on Ife and it’s environs
The Ooni of Ife Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi has imposed an overnight curfew on Ile-Ife and its environments following the insecurity tension that enveloped the ancient city in recent days.
Residence in Ife have recently experienced overnight disturbances believed to be hoodlums going around houses to rob with POS in hand.
These made residence abandon overnight sleeps for vigilantes duties, burning tires on every major junctions of the ancient town.
Following these developments, every hoodlums and notorious hideouts in the city have been targeted for invasion by vigilantes groups to flush out miscreant believed to be paperraring the evil acts.
The nightly curfew imposed by His Majesty was part of the efforts to clamp down on security breaches in the ancient city.
The clamp down is from 11pm to 5pm, which includes no night parties, no night vigils, no mosque programs during the hours of the curfew.
